- 8 Matches on the card as everyone in the Invitational is in action with World Champion Graystone booked against new signee Ryan Faze..courtesy of the new Commish.
The following cards will only feature 4 Invitational matches to allow for the group play to play out over several weeks.

What will World Champion Graystone have in store as he kicks off 2009 as the man to beat in HOW?
How will the working relationship go between Owner Lee Best, Investor Rep Chris Kostoff and new Commissioner and LSD Champion Scottywood?
There will be 8 matches on the card as everyone in the Invitational will be in action!
Also look for some debuts by some people NOT in the Invitational
- Former Commish signs new deal

- Silent Witness has agreed to a three month contract extension that will see the former Commissioner and LSD Champion competiting in High Octane Wrestling at least thru March 29th.
A few more contracts are in the process of being worked out along with a possible new signing. Check back often to HOWrestling.com as details are released.

- Lee Best was approached by Just Wrestling's ownership about a possible affiliation for the new year and after only a brief conversation the deal was struck.
Just Wrestling joins Ewmania as affiliates for High Octane Wrestling as we head into 2009.

- Hall of Famer Bobbinette Carey has signed a new 3 month contract with High Octane Wrestling which makes her tied for the highest paying contract in the federation...tied with fellow new Hall of Famer and World Champion Graystone.

- Derek Mobley has been released from his contract here at HOW. Sources cite his performance and subsequent injuries during the Hell in a Cell Stable Title Match at ICONIC as the main reasons for his career coming to an abrupt end here in High Octane Wrestling.
In related news the Stable Champions, Argonauts of Awesome, are looking for a third member to fill out their stable while it has been learned by HOWrestling.com that Lee Best has signed on two more superstars to fill out the Best Allian...

- The Virus Damian Coles, Christopher America, Guy Stephens, and Silent Witness have all agreed to new terms and in the case of Witness to finish out his current deal.
Payroll and rankings have been updated and a new contract offer has been extended to Tenma.

- Make sure to reply to the Invitational thread on the forums. Even if you do not wish to participate as the thread is a roster check for 2009 as well. Unless you send me a PM or hit me on the messengers EVERYONE that doesnt reply to the thread will be deleted from the site and viewed as no longer in HOW.
Some people have new contracts to work out before the first of the year. Look for offers to be made over the holiday weekend.

- Frank Calrissian has been hired as the hard cameraman for the LSD/Commish Match at ICONIC pitting LSD Champion Chris Kostoff defending his title against Best Alliance member Scottywood. It had been rumored for about a week now that none of the current HOW cameramen wanted to work the House of Pain match and Lee had to go outside of HOW to make a hire.

- Contracts Offered

- Several contracts have been offered to promising new wrestlers that may or may not join High Octane Wrestling. They all have won gold outside of HOW but it remains to be seen if they can handle no longer being the big fishes in a small pond.
In other contract news it has been learned that ICON Champion, Crow, has inked a new 3 month deal and it is said to be worth $84k a month!!

- It has been made official as all the t's have been crossed and all the I's have been dotted as drug and alcohol testing will begin on January 1st 2009. The tests will be completely random and will come at any time. The full outline of the plan will be made available to the public later this week as Lee Best has requested a few more days so that his lawyers can go over the fine print. One has to wonder if Lee is worried about losing several superstars to testing.

- The Hall of Fame show will air tomorrow night taking the place of the usual Mayhem time slot. Word has not leaked to as who will be inducted but rumor has it that Lee Best has summoned all the HOW Hall of Famers...past and present nominees to be at The Best Arena tomorrow night for the show.

- It has been learned by HOWrestling.com that Ken Godly Davison is no longer under contract with HOW but has come to an agreement with Lee Best to work the ICONIC PPV and if he is able to secure the pinfall for his Team Epic team in the Stable Title Match, he will gain a new contract with HOW.
HOWever if he is unable to get the pinfall win or if the team loses, Davison will not get a new contract from Lee Best.

- Payroll has been updated and look for the Posers to be added to the shop sometime this week as Lee decides on the price.
Also check the forums over the next day or so for the awards thread. This thread will list several categories and all those on the HOW site are encouraged to reply with their votes. There will be a special year end award show after Christmas and before the first Mayhem of 09.

- Rumors are flying that the HOW crew is working double time in preparation for tonights Mayhem as several people have leaked that there is a Hell in a Cell cage now hanging high above The Best Arena floor.
With the Stable Title match being contested inside a Hell in a Cell at ICONIC one has to assume that the Cell is here tonight in regards to that match somehow.
Or is it?

- The Hardcore Artist, and No.1 Contender for Kostoff's LSD Championship, Scottywood has purchased the rights to make his match vs. Dylan Nitro a Hardcore Match tonight. One has to assume that Scottywood is looking to send a message to Chris Kostoff tonight on the last Mayhem before ICONIC.

- Triple M has purchased some interview time for this weeks Mayhem. With it being the last Mayhem before ICONIC who knows who else will be looking to make an impact as HOW will pack up and head towards Toronto right after Mayhem is over

- Today HOWrestling.com learned that Mike Shea has been hired to take the place of Mark Toner who was bought out of his contract last night by the investors. Only thing known about Shea is that he is a 13 year vet on the independent scene and this is his first big break in terms of exposure.
HOWrestling.com is trying to get word about the representative that will be watchguarding Lee Best starting next week but so far all attempts to get any information have proved futile.

- The first match is indeen a fourway dance and the Main Event is in fact Graystone and Maximillian Kael taking on Bobinette Carey and Crow in a tag team match. The middle of the card is full of some great chances for guys to really show their shit prior to the PPV......full card can be found tomorrow with ONE more match being added next monday

- With ICONIC right around the corner Lee is sending word to everyone in the back that after tonight you will either be WITH the Best Alliance or AGAINST the Alliance heading to the New Year.
Expect alot of information to come tonight in terms of the lineup for ICONIC has with the recent firings and hirings there is bound to be a little shake up but again Lee has promised to the fans and more importantly the investors, that the ICONIC card will be set in full after tonights Mayhem.
